The Department of 艺术与设计 provides strong training in the professional degree areas, including the Bachelor of 美术 in Studio 美术, 摄影, 平面设计 and 艺术教育. The department also offers the Bachelor of Arts in 艺术历史 and the Bachelor of Arts in 视觉艺术. 径向画廊, as part of the educational mission of the Department of 艺术与设计, serves to highlight the work of students, faculty and invited professional artists.

The Department of 英语 fosters the understanding of language and literature from rhetorical, 有创意的, 至关重要的, 历史, comparative and global perspectives. Our BA and MA programs help our graduates become successful in careers such as publishing, 法律, 业务, 艺术, library and information science, 招聘, 新闻, 技术写作, government and non-profit work.

This endowed chair is named for Dr. 托马斯·C. 珍妮特·M. Graul and it is specifically designed to promote 跨学科 approaches to 艺术 and languages with a particular focus on international perspectives.

音乐系 offers degree programs including the Bachelor of 音乐, 主修表演, 作文, music therapy or music education; and the Bachelor of Arts, 主修音乐. 音乐系, a fully accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of 音乐, also offers a wide variety of free concerts throughout the year.

The 大学图书馆 host a number of arts exhibits and events each year; galleries are located on the 1st and 7th floors of Roesch Library. University of Dayton's Marian Library, located on the 7th floor of Roesch Library, is a globally recognized center for the study of Mary, 耶稣的母亲, and holds the world's largest collection of printed materials and artifacts devoted to her, 还有将近3个,000 Nativity sets and Marian art from around the world.
